...Thanks for your updated answer, but it still doesn't recognize HAXM. Note that the latest version of Intel HAXM is named intelhaxm-android.exe and executing it doesn't display an install wizard like the one in the video you linked to. It creates a haxm_silent_run.log file that contains the text, "Intel HAXM installed successfully!" But Android Studio still says it's not installed....
