...To be fair, it's usually faster and cheaper to just get an Android box for the TV, and load away, without TV restrictions. As for Samsung TV's they use Tizen - not Android, so you need to "unlock" TV first before you can install any .tpk files onto it. Freely and Freeview app both offer similar content....

...If you use the filters on Richer Sounds and select Freeview or Freeview HD it no longer shows any Samsung models, and checking the specs of one (Samsung UE43TU8500) on John Lewis, it shows the digital tuner as TVPlus, not Freeview. It definitely receives freeview. But google samsung smart tv clicking, before you buy....
