...Szia can indeed mean both hello and goodbye. My understanding is that Szervusz is a slightly more formal version of hello. Jó reggelt (note the t on the end, as well as the accent) means "good morning", and is more formal, but only appropriate in the morning....

...Aaaaaand, you accidentally recreated a meme. Szia is the everyday form of saying hello, but if you say Sir after hello, it became formal, so you cannot use "Szia" Like, you can say Szia or Sziasztok to your friends and family, but you cannot say this (or you can, it just sounds wierd) to your boss and clients....
