But during the upgrade to W11 24H2 I get freezes (black screens) during the needed reboots. Reseting the VM makes the installation proceed to the next phase....

...A functional VirtualBox installation can only be recovered by the complete uninstallation of 7.2.4 and then a clean installation of the previous version. Downgrading without performing a full uninstallation still leaves a broken application which can't open any VMs....

...During the installation process the screen went black and then reappeared on only 1 monitor with the 2nd monitor still black, it looks similar as if it crashed the display driver, however i got no notification from the display driver or windows about it crashing. then after a brief moment the screen flashed black again and then both displays ......

...If mere file transfer is all that is needed, shared folders from the host OS or Virtualbox Shared Folders through Guest Additions are tons easier than setting up a USB filter. But other USB usages, like your iThings, or old printers for which drivers aren't available for the host OS anymore, or other USB things, do need the Virtualbox USB Filters....

...So VirtualBox only can be installed into paths where only Administrators or system accounts have the ability to do so. Quite smart, one of the ONLY program ever made which have such paranoid requirement, and what do we gain for this ?
