...It may well be black 'Class C or D' poly/alkathene pipe m8. 3/4'' Class C was the most commonly used here in Scotland. If there is a bit of the pipe exposed?? You may see blue writing running along the pipe, it will tell you the BS number and may even say the pipe Class. Hope that helps....
