...Has anyone managed to succesfully get a refund from Emirates? We were due to fly to Capetown (via Dubai) from Glasgow on Wednesday 1st April with a return on 16th April via Dubai. I spoke to them last week but they seemed to suggest they would not be issuing full refunds and I should instead consider travel vouchers - looking through their terms and conditions I think a full refund should be ......

Flight was booked through Travelbag who email me the 19th March to say i have the option to cancel the flight or to Amend to another date and apply via a form on their website....

Insurance company trying to claw back flight refund from me.
...Hi. Our insurance company flew us home on Qatar after Emirates cancelled our flights. Eventually after much fighting we managed to get a part refund from Emirates for the flights they cancelled but now our insurance company is asking me to pay them any money that was refunded from Emirates (about £400). This doesn't sound right....

On my return, when I complained to Emirates, they rejected my claim for a refund of the Spicejet flight, or the cost of the Indigo flight or any other compensation, as they claimed they had offered alternative travel options - which they hadn't - it was only to cancel the ticket....
