...I mainly use Rightmove for searching for properties because I prefer their web layout and you can set up alerts. But when researching, Zoopla is good for comparing house prices of sold houses on the same street. Other websites are really good for researching too....

...Rightmove and Zoopla will probably cover 99% of normal houses in the UK, but as others have said - if you want to get an early viewing, make sure to register your interest with local estate agents and let them know what you're looking for (e.g. Type, size, budget, location) and you'll often be able to view the houses before they get advertised ......

...Definitely worth trying to build a relationship with local estate agents, it's ultimately what ended up getting us our house. They didn't even put the house on Rightmove and told us 7 weeks in advance of it being marketed and it was only us and one other person viewing it before making offers....
