Failure to communicate with client, their portal is a joke, messages disappear from inbox, impossible to speak to anyone. Ifa, dfm and financial planners (fp) all in it together!
...Was a customer for approx 8 years paying top dollar to an ifa by way of dfm and fp for ultimately a service we could have done elsewhere cheaper and better performance (in hindsight). Had a sipp that was invested with Zurich which was then transferred to Curtis banks and other companies throughout, each time incurring charges to the ifa....

...I believe there used to be restrictions on holding unlisted shares within a SIPP, but A day got rid of them. I couldn't find a link from HMRC to confirm that; the best I can come up with is from Barclays (which doesn't allow unlisted shares). You might want to run your idea past an IFA - just because some providers are in principle prepared to allow an investment in unlisted shares, doesn't ......
