...The 2153 took alot of parts and work to get it running great. The muffler was changed, coil replaced. The carb was replaced with a Walbro 199HDA, primmer bulb eliminated Top cover changed Changed to a 3/8's pitch chain and bar. Woodsported by ECsaws. To me I can cut 80% of my firewood logs with this saw and a 16" bar and chain....

...The real performance differences are quite a bit larger than the specs indicate - the 2153 will cut with saws that are rated at 3.8 hp, just like the NE346xp. The red versions are a tad heavier than the orange ones for obvious reasons, but I doubt you will notise it....

...That's good to know, my 1st ported 346 died last week, and I have just one remaining now. Maybe I'll give the ported 550 a try if it is that strong (but I always hear the 346/2153 are stronger when ported). I have both ported by Eric, the 2153 is faster/stronger but the 2253 isn?t a slouch by any means! The 2153 is just that good!...

...There has been a lot of info given on 50cc saws, especially the MS261, 346XP, & 5105. No mention of the 2153!?! Is the 2153 the same saw as the 346XP except for color? ...I'm considering purchasing either a Jonsered 2152 for $430, or a Husqvarna 346xp for $500 with an upgraded 18" bar. I know the Jonsered 2153 is the equivalent of the Husqy, but it costs $50 more. ...36 sec for 2 cuts on the 550 and only 25 sec for the Johnny? both saws hit the wood right near 5-6 seconds. The 2153 came out of the wood at 17 seconds and the 550 came out of the wood at 22 seconds in the first cut. 2153 was atleast 5 seconds faster in each cut....
